Dog Story: Meet Jill! This young lady is a bundle of busy Brittany activity ready for a loving home. Jill is a sweet, smart gal who is friendly with everyone and good with dogs and children. She has always lived in a multi-dog family and would be great with another canine companion or someone who is home much of the time. Jill has had extensive hunt training but prefers to chase birds rather than point them so won’t be a candidate for hunting. She’d rather keep busy with other fun activities and will be an excellent jogging or hiking partner. Going for runs on the beach, lots of walks and perhaps even agility training would be right up her alley! Jill loves the company of dog buddies but because of her high prey drive should not go to a home with cats. Jill is housetrained, crate trained and accustomed to sleeping quietly in her crate at night and when the family is out. She was diagnosed with luxating patella (dislocated kneecaps) and had surgery as a puppy to repair the knees, good as new to run like the wind! Jill comes from a long pedigree of field trial dogs and is used to rigorous runs several times a week, still very much a Brittany pup with lots of energy to expend. A lounge lizard she is not! Although she has excellent manners and settles nicely in the house, if you’re looking for a mellower couch potato to laze around during the day and go for the occasional walk, Jill is definitely not that dog. Jill will be a great fit with an active family who can spend lots of time together and give her plenty of exercise, playtime, attention and love! Jill is in excellent shape at 38 pounds, current on vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm preventive.
