Dog Story: Jezabelle is a 6 yr old spayed female, orange and white, urebred Brittany. Jezabelle is reserved or even stand-offish with new people, but very sweet with her own people. She is a house dog, and would do best in a quiet household with a doggie door, so she never has to stay outside if she doesn’t want to, and a good secure fence. She does have concerns with close fireworks and thunderstorms, so definitely can not be left outside at those times. She does GREAT with cats, and gets along with other dogs, but can be possessive of her person if she is on the couch with them, and sometimes needs some guidance about acceptable behavior in that situation. She also has a thing about playing with pillows. and sometimes tears them. She is a great companion for someone who is home a lot, and would probably do okay in an apartment situation. She is microchipped, and current on her core vaccinations, as well as Bordetella. She has been tested negative for intestinal parasites and heartworms, and is on heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee is $195, with our usual 2 week adoption trial. Jezabelle’s previous ownersdeclined to pay the fees to get her out of the animal control in Carlsbad, and she was turned over to Brittany rescue.
