She’ll catch your eye with her gorgeous, shiny coat and sweet little French Brittany black nose. This 34-pound fun-loving 4-year-old girl loves to cuddle as much as she loves to play. She’s looking for her forever home with people who will shower her with all the love and attention she wants and deserves, and who will also provide her with the opportunity for stimulation and adventure. Jade’s favorite things include: following her people wherever they go, a good play session with her stuffed toys, a romp in the yard, an energetic neighborhood walk, treats of all kinds, hanging with her Brittany foster brother and sister, and cuddling as close to her people as possible for a good night’s sleep. She is a smart girl who knows her basic commands. She truly enjoys interacting with her foster parents for training, and she soaks up the “good girl” praise and pets like she won the lottery. She needs leash work– she’s a puller!– but she is showing some improvement already. She rides nicely in the car, either looking out the window or taking the opportunity to nap. Jade gets along with her two Brittany foster siblings. She really wants to play play play and it took her a bit to learn that they weren’t always up for that. But they’ve all come around and enjoy laps in the yard together, some play sessions, and hanging out on the couch together. She does tend to throw herself in the mix with jumps and licks when someone else is getting attention. Jade will truly shine with a family who can devote plenty of time and attention to making sure she knows she’s a special girl. She must have the opportunity for plenty of exercise in and beyond the yard. She will be a great walking and hiking buddy! Other musts for Jade: people who tolerate squeaky toys, a spot on the people bed for her, and a canine companion. She is very friendly with all people she has met. She hasn’t been around young children, but she is excitable and prefers being the center of attention, so she would probably do better with no kids or with older kids who will enjoy spending time with her. Jade would also prefer to go to a home with no cats.↵↵HISTORY: Jade was an owner surrender with her Brittany brother and sister. Little information was passed on. Jade got a clean bill of health at the vet, and will be ready for adoption after she heals from her spay surgery.
