Jack is a Brittany mix. His father was a Brittany and his mother was 1/2 Border Collie 1/2 Golden Retriever. Jack is great with children and loves people. He gets along great with other dogs and tolerates cats as well. Jack is very friendly and loyal. Jack is also smart and easy to train. Jack listens well and does not run away when his owners are present. Jack is an absolutely sweetheart and needs someone who has time to love him up. He loves belly scratches and attention. Jack’s previous owner described Jack as having extreme separation anxiety. Jack NEEDS someone who is patient to help him through this. Jack does not like small spaces (such as a crate or kennel) and tries to find his way out when he is left alone. Jack becomes destructive when his owners are away, but is not destructive when his people are at home. Jack came to ABR as an owner surrender. Jack’s owners have kept Jack inside and transitioned him to an outside dog when his anxiety worsened. Jack has been chained outside for the past few months. The owners felt they no longer had the time to give him enough attention and exercise.
