Hi Friends! I am Jack and I am looking for the best furever home! I am a young boy who loves people! I am good with other dogs, cats, and kids, although sometimes I get a little excited and jump too much; my foster parents are working on that with me.My ideal home would be one where my hoomans are active and willing to work with me. I am doing so good with my training; my foster parents use a clicker to help me learn to be the best boy. I learn so fast and love when I hear that click and get my Milk Bone treats. I am potty trained and am working on leash training. I need to be able to sleep under my hooman’s bed, that is where I feel the safest.Foster mom here, Jack is a big old love bug and such a good boy! He is so sweet and wants nothing more than to please his people. Jack came from a difficult situation, but very little of that has affected him. Jack will not be able to be a hunter and will not be able to use a shock/radio/or invisible fence collar, please do not apply for Jack if you are looking for that.Jack is great with other dogs, cats, and loves kids. He is a big lean boy at 41 pounds and tends to forget his size when he gets excited to see the kids. We started training him with a clicker and he is doing great! He picks up on what we want him to do pretty fast, but still needs a little leash work. Jack prefers not to be kenneled and will become stressed if he is. Jack does well when left out of the crate, he does not have accidents and does not get into things while we are away. He also needs a home where he has the ability to sleep under your bed, this is his favorite place to sleep and where he feels safe. He does like to get on the bed for a little snuggle time but prefers to sleep under it. Jack loves to be outside with us while we work in the yard and is very helpful when he picks up sticks and brings them to us! Jack’s new home will need to have a physical fence, he is not able to use a tie out or invisible fence collar. Jack would do best with exercise, positive reinforcement training, and mental stimulation to help him become the best dog he can be. If you think Jack is the right fit for you, please reach out to his foster parents. No sight unseen adoptions, we want to ensure Jack is the right fit for your family members, two legged and four legged!
