Dog Story Indy is a French Brittany, about 35 lbs and a petite bundle of energy. He loves to snuggle on your lap for as long as you will let him. He is very smart and has had obedience training so he knows all the basics, but would benefit from a refresher on leash training. He bonds strongly to his humans and would do best with no other dogs as he really craves attention and affection from his people. Indie communicates just about everything by barking. We have been working with him and he is making good progress, but will require someone to continue to work with him on this. Indy’s owner said he was tested with birds in a field a couple of years ago and was told he had a nose for birds. They never hunted him as he was a family dog, so it is unknown how he would actually do. He would make a great walking or running partner as he has tons of energy to burn. His ideal home would be with an active family with someone home most of the time, no children under 10 and as an only dog or possibly one other. Indy’s former owner has a two year old and Indy was showing signs of jealousy/aggression and was too energetic, jumping and knocking down the toddler. They live in a small space with no yard and Indy really needs a place with a yard where he can get more exercise. If Indy sounds like the perfect dog for you please fill out the online adoption application and contact his foster family for more information. Dog History Indy was surrendered to ABR by his previous owner
