Oh boy.is this guy a DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH! This is Hank and all I can say is WOW! When he 1st came into my home, he was SO underweight and started at the simplest of things. All those new sounds and smells scared him silly. Well that was then and this is NOW! Hank has personality plus! He also has the ability to be a great hunting dog (with the right training). During the day.he wants to be outside and working the acreage. As soon as we open the door, his nose hits the ground. We have also gun tested Hank out in the field. First time, he was startled.but kept moving. 2nd time didn’t even phase him. Hank goes on a beautiful point too. Now when Hank is inside, he will snuggle with you on the couch and when it’s bedtime, he sometimes snuggles with you in bed before moving to the floor for the night. Hank is good with children, although the puppy in him wants to nip at them when they are running. So he needs work in that area. Hank is a gentlemen left alone in the house. NOTHING is chewed or destroyed when we come home. Hank also has been very good with our resident cat. Hank’s perfect home would be with another dog. He LOVES to play and seems to enjoy their company. A home that is also very active would be a plus. Again his primary interest when outside is to ‘work’. A fenced yard would be preferred because of his ‘work ethic’. If you would love to be the person to bring out the best in Hank, then please fill out the adoption application and mention his name. Hank is up to date on his vaccines and heartworm negative and on preventative. History: Hank was a stray that was brought into the shelter. He was extremely underweight at that time. The shelter had no other information.
