My name is Hank! I’m having a good time seeing new things and places. I was always in my hunting pen so I didn’t know there was so much I was missing out on! Like houses! It’s cool inside, there’s always water, and people to take care of me all the time. I’m a good boy and I try to do everything right so they know I’m thankful. I don’t pee or poop in the house and I’m not sure if the things the humans sit on and lay down on are ok for me yet or not. I think I have a lot to learn because even though I love hearing humans talk to me, I don’t understand it all yet. But my heart is good and I want to do everything I can to please them. I love it when they pet me and rub my ears. I hope that soon I can meet my forever family soon and keep learning all the things that dogs my age already know. I’m a quick learner! And I love to please!Foster mama here. Hank has been with us a short time but we have already just fallen in love with him. He is a gentle, loving sweet soul. Even though he’s 4, he has some catching up to do in learning how to live like a normal dog who has been around humans in a home environment. He’s catching on super fast! Hank has a heart of gold and just wants to please. He has done really well with my 4 Brittanys as well as with my daycare dogs. We don’t have cats, so I don’t know how he would react to them. He has been around my granddaughter and seems fine with a child her age (almost 5). He will continue to be around her more while he’s with us. Hank loves human contact. He’s been deprived of it for most of his life and he is more hungry for love and attention than anything else. Eventually he will realize that’s not going anywhere. But he will need a home that understandsboundaries will need to be set for him so he does not develop any human attention guarding around other dogs. Hank has potential to be an amazingly perfect dog. He’s fun, happy, playful, chill and calm at the right times, somewhat goofy and just wants to please you. Hank would do awesome in any home with a family who understands his craving for human touch and attention and can introduce him in a way that assures him there is endless love for the whole family pack!
