Adopted!!!
Howdy folks, my name is Hank and I’m a country dog who is housetreained and having a dog-life crisis as I am no longer able to fulfill my former role (I used to be a stud dog)Much like country folk, I may take some time to warm up to you, but once I have, I’ll be your best friend and let you know all of my secrets….big and small as I’m very vocal and will always tell you what I want!I do love to chase birds, squirrels and especially wabbits (right now, they are in season), and I play well with other dogs and humans. I do have a confession to make though….at first, new dogs and people really scared me and I had to put my guard up to protect myself. My foster dad had to work with me and teach me that that kind of behavior (growling and snapping) is NOT okay and because he has been patient with me, it has worked and I no longer do that anymore.I’m really good with kids and even though I’m a Brittany, I’m not super energetic. My foster dad used to take me on runs but I was popped after 2 miles. Walks though, I’m great at and I really enjoy those.I personally feel that the best family for me would be one that someone is home most of the time as I do get anxious when people leave. I would be great on farm or ranch dog as I have excellent recall!Foster dad here. Hank has come a long way since I took him in a month ago. He was scared insecure and just didn’t know what was going on. But working with him daily has changed that. His new home will need to understand that they too, will need to take it slow while he learns this is his final home and once he does…WOW!Hank is UTD on vaccines and is H/W negative and on preventative. If interested in this beautiful boy, please complete the online application and mention his name and ID #. I would love to talk to you more about him.HISTORY:Hank has lived with his original owners since a pup, but he wasn’t gettng along with his son that he had sired so they reached out to our rescue.
