Dog Story: Charming, sweet, affectionate, intelligent, prankster, tease.these are just some of the adjectives that define Gus. This boy is happy careening around the yard chasing birds, squirrels or other vermin. He is also happy cuddling with you and sharing your warmth. Gus is very much still a puppy. He loves to play, and is known for finding unauthorized things (towels, shoes, stuffed toys) to play with. Gus can engage in that puppy mouthing, so a family with older kids is a better choice for him. He really needs a yard with a good old barrier fence or someone committed to training him to an invisible fence so he can stretch those Brittany legs. He must be included in an active family’s day to day life. Human contact is very important for Gus. No sight unseen adoptions for this boy. We feel it is important that all family members (human and canine) meet to assure that we have a good fit. Gus is still a work in progress. He needs someone with the time, patience and consistency to give him guidance and perfect his doggie manners. Dog obedience is essential for Gus. If you would like to meet this wonderful guy complete the adoption application Gus was an owner surrender to rescue. His family found his endless energy and mouthing too much to handle. Gus is neutered; microchipped, current on all vaccinations, is Heart Worm negative and is on Heart Worm Preventative.
