Dog Story: Gunner is a fur ball of energy! You would never guess he is five years old. Gunner is a kid’s dog!!! Being the dogs’ caregiver I’m used to them getting attached to me first but not Gunner -he loves the kids. I have a teenager and two preschoolers;he will run up to them and sit as he is waiting for love. His whole body vibrates with excitement waiting for loves from them. Gunner lives with two dogs and two cats. He gets along with the dogs just fine and has no food aggression. He has barked at the cats a few times but nothing more; I think he was a little scared of them. Gunner isworking on his indoor manners since he was an outside dog before arriving in rescue. He is being house-trained by my dogs that go out when they need and he follows. He is a little overweight and is working on losing it by keeping up with the otherdogs. He goes to his crate easily and he loves chewing on rawhides most of all. History: Gunner was an owner surrender to ahigh-kill animal shelter. His owners claimed that he was defensive with the neighbor’s small dogs. I have seen no aggression! When we went to the vet, there were afew smaller dogs there and Gunnerhad no interest in them thewhole time we were there. The vet said the same; he was a perfect angel at the office.
