Dog Story Meet Gunner, a young Brittany pup who is cute as a button with lots to love! Gunner is an active, bouncy boy and acts much younger than his 4 years. He is a happy guy who gets along wonderfully with everyone and adores his Brittany foster brother; they even sleep side by side in their crate snuggled up together! Gunner is outgoing and friendly, always glad to greet new people and find a playmate in everyone he meets. This lucky youngster recently attended the annual ABR picnic to romp with a couple hundred of his Brittany brethren and had the time of his life! His favorite pastime is hunting lizards in the yard and exploring everything exciting in the big world. Gunner has a high prey drive and would like to chase the resident cat for playtime too, but the kitty is fat and old and doesn’t like that game so Gunner is learning to leave him alone. Gunner is mastering all his doggy manners and is very smart and eager to please. He’s learned sit and lay down and patiently waits for his dinner. Gunner comes when called (most of the time, unless he’s distracted by critters of course) and learned housetraining with the dog door right away. When the family is out Gunner and Rooney snooze peacefully together safe and sound in their crate. He likes to nap on the floor in the bedroom and be wherever the humans are. Like all excited Britts he pulls on leash eager to explore and is working on leash manners. Gunner is just a puppy and needs plenty of regular daily exercise. He burns off that famous Brittany energy going for lots of good walks and hikes in the woods with his foster family. Once he’s had his workout Gunner is ready to relax and always happy to be part of the pack for hugs and pets. He will do well with a doggy companion and playmate and an active family ready to give him plenty of attention, continue basic training and enjoy lots of exercise and fun together. Gunner is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm preventive and microchipped. He weighs a fit 37 pounds and received a perfect bill of health at his vet checkup. Now Gunner is ready to interview for his forever family! If you’re looking for a gorgeous, energetic Brittany pup to be your exercise partner, join you for adventures and be your loving companion, please submit the online adoption application and mention Gunner-4233, then contact his foster family to meet him in person! Gunner’s owners moved out of state and gave him to a friend. The family adored Gunner but lived in a small apartment and with busy work schedules had no time or space for Gunner. They knew he needed a home better suited for a Brittany pup where Gunner could get the exercise and personal attention he needs and called ABR to help find him a new forever family.
