Meet Gunner: Gunner is a healthy, sweet happy boy who has spent his whole almost seven years of life as an outside dog (I have attached two photos from his previous owner). Gunner has been with me for over two weeks and has not had an accident in the house at all. He is learning all about being an indoor guy now and has found he really likes air conditioning when it is hot. Gunner is kind of like a 50lb puppy. He wasn’t taught anything so he is learning basic commands. Gunner is so smart and learns really fast. He loves to be with people and seems to get attached quickly. Gunner has learned it is ok to eat and drink in the house and is getting more comfortable every day. He has learned to chew on Nylabones and has been attempting to play with my dogs but hasn’t quite figured out how yet. Gunner is kind of a mother hen, when my dogs get to playing too rough, he gets in between them. He doesn’t understand doggy play yet but he gets really excited to see other dogs, his tail just flies.

Now the down side of Gunner: Gunner tends to want to jump up on people for attention so we have been working hard on “down and sit”. Gunner will likely need a fence.

Gunner would love to have someone who has the time and energy to work with him. He learns quickly and wants to please you. I really think Gunner is going to be an excellent companion once he learns what his person wants him to do. He is an energetic boy and will want to do everything with you.
