Dog Story: IN SEARCH OF a patient, dog savvy person or family looking for a diamond in the rough to polish and help to shine. Guinness came to ABR’s attention, in real need, and hiding his body in a head shot from the shelter. When his body was revealed, it was too late to say hmmm, not quite a Britt!! One of our volunteers visited the shelter and we could not, at that point, turn our backs on him. So, Guinness was welcomed in his foster home to start the beginning of his new life. He loves to play with toys, other dogs and people and has done really well in doggie day care. He basically gets along with everyone! Guinness has a sweet temperament and would be willing to learn with the right person guiding him. He can get very distracted when there are birds around, which certainly trumps all other interesting things around him, including his foster mom’s voice. Guinness is high energy, and always moving. His tongue can hang down to his knees, as evidenced in his photo. He would do best with a canine companion as Guinness can get vocal when left alone. A 5 ft + fence would be required as well. So, is anyone interested in hearing more about this handsome boy? Do you have the skills to help Guinness reach his potential? If so, please submit an adoption application Guinness was rescued from a shelter in Fredericksburg, VA. He was on stray hold and nobody came to claim him. He was neutered at the shelter, updated on vaccinations and moved to an ABR foster home when his stray hold was up. He was reported to have an excited and happy personality.
