Adopted!!!
Dog Story:
Hi, my name is Guinness. I got my name because I’m the color of Guinness Stout and well, you see, stout would not be a word to describe me! I am a crate trained, handsome, and spunky 60lb Brittany/Irish setter mix. My three favorite things in life are food, my humans, and running around. Food is a great motivator for me; I spin around in circles while my foster mom prepares my meals. I will listen to commands when there are treats involved. I love to be cuddled and be near my humans, I will even moan in appreciation. Because I have some anxiety, the crate or my human’s laps are places I feel safe and secure. Lastly, exercise is really important to me. Whether it’s running trails with my foster mom, going to the dog park, or sprinting back and forth in a back yard with a 6 foot fence, I need to get my energy out. Other things you should know about me? Squeaky toys and tennis balls are my favorite, and I love to talk and tell you all about my feelings. I try to talk to the passing cars and birds; but they don’t seem to listen. While I love to play with my other Brittany siblings, I could be a solo dog- which means I get ALL the attention. Will you be my new forever parents?
Guinness is returning to ABR after he has jumped the fence at his home in addition to a shift in health of his current family. He has been working with an obedience trainer and has made great progress but experiences some anxiety during transitions/changes in his environment. He will need a fence of 6ft. to help keep him safe, or a home dedicated to lots of on leash exercise and trips to the dog park as well as a home which is dedicated to continuing his obedience training. In addition, he would benefit from one canine companion, or humans which are home often.
