12.16.22 Grace went to a foster to adopt family in Fairhope, AL. They will take Gracie through heartworm treatment, after which she’ll be spayed. Hi! I’m Grace and I’m looking for my forever people. Herself thinks I was abandoned because I’m a little gun shy. I’m ok with thunder but not big guns.I finally found my way to a rescue but not before I picked up slmost every parasite known to dogs. But Herself got rid them pretty fast! She says I still have worms in my heart but they are going away even as I write. I still need a bit of tender loving care. Since I only weighed 21 pounds when Herself picked me up, I need to gain a few more. At least now you can’t count my ribs and you can barely see my hip bones. Herself says I’m not the prettiest Britt she’s seen but I’m definitely one of the sweetest. I’m still a little timid but I love the people I know. And when I get excited, I hop around like a little bunny. (Herself thinks that’s very funny.) And I’ve learned a lot of stuff since I’ve been here. I like my crate; I love to sleep with as many stuffed toys as I can find; I don’t mind a bath or getting my nails done; I play well with others; house manners, I have them: I’m very good for Dr. Mac; and I give sweet kisses. Herself says they are some of the sweetest she has ever gotten and she’s gotten lots. So if you need sweet kisses, I could be giving them to you by Christmas.ps Did I mention I’m only about 2 years old so I’ll be around a long time to give you kisses.Grace will go to her forever family as a foster to adopt on 12.16.22, meaning that she’ll be settled in her home but ABR will pay her medical bills while she is undergoing heartworm treatment. (This entails limited activity for about 3 months.) She is utd on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and has begun the initial treatment to eradicate the heartworms.
