Dog Story: My name is Grace but I’m not very grace-full yet. I’m still a puppy, only 8 months old. Will you help me mature into the beautiful dog you want me to be? I’ll run in your yard and play with your kids if you want. And wait until you see me wiggle my tail! First the tail starts to vibrate very fast, then my hind quarters start shaking so hard I dance, then my body and front legs get into the act so much that my head shakes from side to side. Mom laughs every time! I can do some things already because I’ve been to puppy school but more training would be appreciated. I will come and sit but everything else is optional. I’m a pro at counter surfing and I jump up on people too. Mom doesn’t like this and says off when I do either one. My hostess is a cocker spaniel. She and I get along fine. And there are 2 cats outside. One is a baby. We play with each other. The older cat is shy and hasn’t introduced herself to me. My people loved me and took good care of me from the time I was a baby. I’ve had all my vaccinations, been spayed and regularly take medicine to prevent fleas, ticks and heartworms. All I need is a new home. Won’t you please be my people? Grace was surrendered by her family, a military family unexpectedly calledto duty in Nigeria. They made the very difficult decision to find a more stable home for Grace to grow up in. In the short time they had with Grace, they took wonderful care of her and lavished her with anything she could possibly want or need.
