Adopted!!!
Meet Gage, a
very sweet, energetic and intelligent 2 1/2 year old Brittany with papers to
prove it.Gage loves being
inside with his people and you can usually find him at our side. He
seems to like every personand dog he has been with as he is very social
and always wants to join in the fun. Gage loves his toys as inside he
plays fetch, but outside heplays keep away. Gage
isactive (you should see him when he gets the zoomies), likes to run and
explore things but after his play time he will lay by your sidesnuggling
into something soft and comfy. Gage has charmed us in the time he has
been here.Gage loves his walks but is a hard puller and we have been working on that since taking him in and
he is making strides in this area as well. Gage had a few accidents when we 1st
took him in, but no more. We do however,
let him out often during the day and when we leave our home, we do not crate him and he has done fine.Gageis
working on learning basic commands. He spent much of hisprior life
outside and is lacking some social skills/manners. He has made great
progress in a short amount of time and will no doubt benefit from an active
family dedicated to his education. We have had good luckwith
SIT and NO, with varying degree of success on the others but with practice he
should do fine. Currently, his exuberance would be too much forsmallchildren
and he can be a bit mouthy when he gets too excited playing. Gage does not have any
desire to hunt. He is afraid of gunfire
unfortunately. A secure fence is a must! Gage loves to
run up and down our fence looking for weak spots. Gage doesn’t climb or dig, but will attempt
to push through if given a chance. We do not want him to go to a home with an invisible fence. Nothing against them, but he has marks on his neck from the collar which means he may not have been respectful of the system in the past. The best home for Gage
is an active family with older kids….one that will include him in most of their
daily activities. If you are home during the day, that’s even
better. Gage has a lot of love to give
and would love to receive just as much. Gage is up to date on his
vaccines and is heartworm negative and microchipped.
If you are interested in Gage, please complete theadoption application and
mention his name and ID #. We would love
to tell you more about this sweet boy. Gage was purchased at 6 months old to be a
hunting dog as he came from good hunting lines.
Unfortunately, he will not hunt and is very afraid of gunfire. His owner worked and worked with him to no
avail so he contacted our rescue to help him find a good family home.
