Dog Story: Mowgli and Frank are a wonderful pair of bonded brothers who are very attached to each other. He is an affectionate and lovable rambunctious boy. Frank shows so much expression in his face and beautiful amber eyes it would be hard for anyone not to fall in love with him at first sight. Frank is a very strong and active adolescent weighing in at 55 pounds. On the Brittany energy scale he would definitely be considered high. Like his counterpart Mowgli, Frank loves to run, play and romp in open fields sniffing out and chasing critters. His hunt and find instincts are very keen. Before joining his foster family he was accustomed to running off leash with his dad and brother Mowgli and we have allowed him that same freedom with careful supervision. We take Frank on long hikes each morning where he can romp and tag team squirrels and bunnies with our Brittany Sophie. He responds well to commands and is good on walks when wearing a harness. After his morning exercise Frank is content to play with his foster pals or hang out at my feet while I work. His tennis ball is always close by should anyone want to throw it for him. Frank’s afternoon activity is spent in the lake swimming after sticks or tennis balls. He is a voracious swimmer! It has become apparent that Frank’s ideal forever home must have open spaces and easy access to a body of water so he can keep busy and swim to his heart’s content.
