Adopted!!!
Dog Story
Ernie came to rescue with his brother Scrappy because his family had too many dogs and they wanted to make sure he would go to the perfect forever home. He is a french Brittany (father French, mother american). He is a’tripod’, in that he lost his right front leg when he was two years old after an injury couldn’t be fixed with several surgeries.
He has a wonderful disposition and gets along with people and dogs. He gets around just fine on his three legs and isn’t slowed down at all, not even by steps.
Ernie would love a forever home where he can get lots of attention and love. If you can give him that home, please fill out the online adoption application and call his foster dad.
9/6/13 Update: Now that Ernie has been with us for a few days, it is obvious he is very independent, he has no trouble at all getting around the house and the yard, he even has no trouble jumping on my bed and snuggling with me. He is a real joy to have around. He has gotten used to going in his crate when needed and just relaxes in there. Whoever adopts him will be very lucky to have him, he is a real sweetheart.
Ernie was surrendered by his family because they had too many dogs and they wanted to make sure he went to the perfect new home.
