Adopted!!!
Duke is a beautiful 5-year-old
Brittany. He will charm you with his big
brown eyes and sweet temperament. He is
playful boy but loves to snuggle and cuddle too.He is disappointed he is not allowed on the
sofas and beds and instead is learning to use his kennel or the dog beds.Duke responds very well to positive
corrections and loves to be told what a good boy he is when he gets it
right.Loud voices and harsh reprimands
cause him to freeze or issue a growl of protest.Duke barks at dogs and
strangers on our walks but warms up to people and strange dogs quickly. He and his foster brother became best buds
within days, a real bromance. On walks,
he tends to pull on the leash but is improving, some walks are better than
others.Overall, he needs work on basic
commands.
Duke had issues behaving
properly around the previous owner’s 1 year old, so he will not go to a home
with small children.Older children,
particularly if they are involved in his training would be great.
Duke is an easy dog to
love.He will cuddle as much as you want
or lay quietly at your feet if you are busy.He can stay on his own in the kennel when you are away and do a happy
dance when you get home. This little boy
deserves a loving, secure forever home, is it yours?
Please no sight unseen, long
distance adoptions for Duke.We feel it
is important that all family members (human and canine) meet to assure that we
have a good fit.If you think this
gorgeous, sweet boy is the one for you, please complete the adoption applicationand mention Duke.Duke
is an owner surrender to rescue. These
folks got him from people with a small child who treated/disciplined him roughly. In our
care, Duke has been neutered, Microchipped, is now current on vaccinations, tested
Heart Worm negative and on Heart Worm preventative.
