Dog Story: Duchess; sweet, spunky, high IQ, are just some of the words that describe this wonderful Britt bit. She is everything we love about the breed. Duchess is a believer of living life to the fullest. She can go from 0 to 100 MPH in a split second and fall asleep mid bark. She resides with both male and female Britts and a discerning feline. All love Duchess and she loves them back. Please no sight unseen or long distance adoptions for this girl. We feel it is important that all family members (human and canine) meet to assure that we have a good fit. If you fit the description above, please complete the adoption application. Duchess was an owner surrender to rescue. She is up to date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. This special girl’s foster family noticed her gait and coordination was off. She was given a general diagnosis of hypermetric gait. ABR consulted a Neurologist and Duchess has been through some pretty pricy tests (MRI and CSF tap). Duchess has been given a clean bill of health. We have begun a fundraising campaign to help defray some on her vet expenses. Many people have generously given to her Brittany Buddy. If you are able to donate via check, please make your check payable to American Brittany Rescue. Checks may be sent to Jeanette Seely, American Brittany Rescue, 822 Wild Ginger Road, Sugar Grove, IL 60554. PLEASE PUT IN THE MEMO LINE DONATION FOR DUCHESS 4135 IN IL. As they say it sometimes takes a village to help a Britt. I hope you can join ABR’s village and become one of Duchess’ heroes. On behalf of Duchess and ABR thank you for your generosity.
