Adopted!!!

Drake is a friendly dog who loves every dog and human he meets. Don’t let his age fool you, Drake has the energy and playfulness of a dog half his age.

Drake enjoys hunting lizards and running around the yard with his foster brothers. He likes to go on walks although he pulls strongly on the leash. The individual who walks him would have to be strong enough to contain his enthusiasm while you work on leash manners. He likes toys, his favorite game is “keep away”. Drake needs a fenced yard, if he sees an open door he’s gone! For that reason, a household with school aged children or older might be a better fit than a family with younger children.

Drake settles down inside the house, no accidents or chewing on anything other than dog toys. He loves snuggles, giving doggie kisses and enjoys getting petted by us. He sleeps through the night on his dog bed although we are familiarizing him with a crate. Drake is fine when left home alone with other dogs. He is used to a routine where his people were home most of the time.

Drake is looking for a new forever family who will love him and treasure him. Drake’s former family is moving out of the country and are heartbroken they can’t take him with them. As much as they loved him, the family entrusted ABR to find a loving home for him. Is that your home? Drake is hoping his new family finds him soon.
