Dog Story: The series may have ended, but now you can watch Dexter every night. Dexter is a law abiding well behaved citizen; he’s nothing like his namesake. He knows simple commands, sit, stay, down and roll over. He’ll offer his paw when offered a treat and gently takes it into his mouth. Dexter doesn’t bark much, but when he does, he sounds like a squeak toy. Don’t let it fool you. He can bark loud and clear when he needs to go out. This gentle boy is housebroken and is comfortable with other dogs, allowing them to call the shots. When he first came into the home he did not care for the crate at all. He now willingly goes into his crate and waits until someone comes home to let him free. But he expects to be busted out of the pen as soon as we enter the house. He loves to cuddle when he sleeps and tucks up alongside us. He is learning to play fetch but lives by the Brittany rule, What’s yours is mine and what’s mine is mine. He loves to run and go for long walks and will give back ten times the love he receives. Could Dexter be the boy of your dreams? If so please fill out our adoption application and come meet Dexter soon as this special boy won’t last long! Dexter was surrendered to ABR when his owner’s landlord implemented a no pets policy due to financial issues his owner was unable to find a new home that he could afford and still keep Dexter.
