Dekan is exactly what you’d expect in a Brittany. Friendly, affectionate, curious and energetic. He has a well developed nose and will happily watch the squirrels and chipmunks from the deck. He came into rescue neutered, microchipped and with the basic commands, sit, stay, etc. While he is in rescue, we are working on leash manners and limiting his counter-surfing.On walks he happily greets everyone, 2 legged or 4 legged, with a vigorous tail wag. He is very friendly and good with kids.According to his former owners, he chases cats, so would do best in a home without cats. Dekan’s owner moved in with her boyfriend. His dogs didn’t care for Dekan and neither did her mother’s 2 males when he went there. In rescue he hasn’t been aggressive at all with dogs he sees on his walks, but he may be best as an only dog or with females. If a potential forever home has another dog, we would need to meet the other dog(s) in the family before placement Dekan is neutered, chipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative.
