Dog Story: If you are looking for a loving companion who will follow you everywhere you go then Copper is your man. Copper is an approximately 8 year old male who came to rescue when his family had to relocate due to a change in jobs. Copper came to ABR with an ulcer in his eye that nearly caused him to lose the eye. Luckily, due to some great help from the vet and ABR Copper is 100% healed and ready to move to his forever home. Copper has been the perfect foster dog. He gets along fantastically with our two Britts and has been very well behaved at the dog park. Copper has never had a single accident in the house and has not chewed a single thing that was not his. He taught himself how to use the dog door immediately and loves the ability to go outside at will. Copper will do best in a home where he can get alot of love. When you watchTV he will be sitting in your lap, when you sleep he will curl up next to you. In short, he needs an affectionate owner. Copper is great with kids and ideally would love to be in a house where someone is at home sometimes during the day. His favorite thing in the world to do is play with a squeaky ball. He loves for you to throw it but is just as happy to bat it around himself making it squeak. If you are looking for an affectionate well behaved new family member please consider Copper.
