Adopted!!!
Dog Story:
Colt is a very handsome Brittany who weighs in at 43 pounds. He loves people and abundantly gives Brittany kisses. He enjoys playing with our resident Britt as well as our foster Britts. We have witnessed him on point in the backyard and even saw him honor a point by one of our other dogs in the backyard. Because of his previous training and experience, his ideal home will be with someone who will take him hunting and continue his training. While he is currently a diamond in the rough, he will make someone a fabulous pet and hunting companion.
When Colt arrived, he had to have some expensive surgery due to an injured testicle and needed lots of medical care to recover from surgery. With a significant amount of TLC, he is now fit as a fiddle and feeling fine! Colt’s vet bills added up quickly and he would really appreciate some Brittany Buddy donations to help with his expenses.
Colt is learning his manners to be a house dog. His favorite antic is to steal anything made of fabric (socks, shoes, tablecloths, etc.) but he doesn’t destroy what he takes. He enjoys being inside with people as much as he enjoys running in the yard. A fenced yard would be ideal for this guy; although since he has been trained to hunt using an electronic collar he is also a good candidate for an invisible fence. Give this boy a chance and he will win your heart! If you are interested in adopting him, please complete our adoption application and mention Colt-3727.
History:
Colt’s owner was facing some hardship and needed to surrender Colt to ABR. We know Colt has been trained to hunt and we believe he has competed in field trials. There were no available foster homes in Nebraska so he was transported to Michigan for fostering.
