Hi! I’m Colby, I’m healthy and almost 7 years old! I am such a happy boy in my ABR home. I am in the country where I can run and watch my favorite people! I do bark to let them know if anyone is around our house. We don’t have a fence in the country and I always stay close to my people (at least where I can see them!) When I go out to do my business, I come right back in or lay on the deck until somebody gets me!I am used to hunting pheasant and am just ready to go! When dad gets the gun out I go crazy! My ABR family loves me and has a nicknames for me like Colby cheese, Colby Jack, or Colby cheese-head(but mom says she won’t let me go to Wisconsin ha-ha). There are no kids here at home, just mom and dad, and my fellow brittany’s. I like it that way! My favorite game is frisbee, all 3 of us race for it, I am not the fastest, but I am best at catching it! Although I take a while to get used to others, I may bark but once I feel comfortable I’m not nervous anymore.Mom says I’m so lovable, darn cute and well-behaved (um except if they leave food on the counter, then I think its mine too). I’m a big boy too, about 52 pounds of love, and I’ve lost some weight! I usually sleep on my bed or lay on the floor, I’m cool with that, but if you invite me up on the bed, I’m happy to lay next to you!Hi all, ABR foster mom here. We love Colby to pieces. We are looking for a home similar to ours. His ideal forever home is a quiet space with not too many people coming and going, Colby is a barker and will bark all day if people walk by your yard. In fact he’s a country boy, looking for some acreage to run on. Older kids (like teens) are fine, he not very fond of small kids. Maybe one other dog but he loves 1 on 1 attention too. The more time you can spend with him, the better. Maybe a retired couple/man or woman or work from home, he adores the companionship! He will kennel but doesn’t love it and he’s completely trustworthy in the house, never chews or has any accidents! I have videos and many more pictures. If you are interested in this great guy please complete theadoption application. Colby is up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative.Colby is an owner surrender here in MN. His prior owners have a small child and they were just not getting along. They also are expecting and didn’t want to add any more stress that was already there so they contacted ABR.
