Dog Story : Bonjour mes amis! J’mappelle Clover. (I hope you said that with a southern accent.) I’m a 5 year old adorable Black and White French Brittany mix, possibly with cocker spaniel, and I am the cuddliest, happiest girl your heart could have the pleasure of meeting. Maybe you don’t know as much about French Brittanys, but our American cousins are descended from us and we are very similar in the way we act. You Americans are just silly and have gotten rid of the beautiful darker color that some of the French Brittanys have. Wearing black is tres chic, you know? J’adore my foster family brittany brother and foster human kids (10 yr old and 8 yr old). I get SO excited when they talk to me and love on me that sometimes I pee a little. The nice vet lady says that it’s called submissive peeing and that it will probably go away once I’m really well adjusted somewhere. My foster mom tells me it’s already gotten so much better just in the 2 weeks she’s been taking care of me! I love walks, and am very well behaved on a leash. I have excellent house manners and don’t mind at all when the neighborhood kids are over, more people to love on me and give me tummy rubs! I’m an owner surrender to ABR and because I was crated for awhile I’m little ‘big boned.’ My current heavy weight status is 42 lbs, and they say I could lose about 6-8 (couldn’t we all though?!). I’m already on my way because this foster family loves to go, go, go. I’m an excellent listener and I sit on command. My human sister has taught me how to ‘hug’ so I like to stand on my back legs and hug her, but as soon as you tell me ‘off’ I get down. I go in my crate when I’m home alone and don’t even have to be bribed! I have no interest in your shoes, but I do enjoy a good antler bone once in awhile. I don’t jump on the furniture or bed unless you invite me. I LOVE to go on car rides and enjoy hanging out and seeing the new places we ride around to!
