Dog Story: Chou Chou means small cabbage in French and little stinker to her foster parent is a very sweet girl who loves to snuggle. She is house trained, uses a dog door routinely, loves to explore the fenced yard, and is good with other dogs and the resident cat. Chou is crate trained but prefers to be allowed to sleep in the same room with her foster mom and dad at night, now that she is spayed and a ‘big girl.’ Daily walks for at least an hour is something she looks forward to and is very good on the leash. Riding in the car is a good thing and she does not bounce all over during the ride. Chou does like to look out the window in the back seat or cargo area, but will also sit next to her foster mom for petting if an especially long ride. Chou knows several commands sit, down, potty and is working on shake her paw and wait/stay with hand signal. She has a very laid back, whatever comes her way personality who is as happy hanging out with other dogs and people, as she is napping. Squeak toys seem to be a favorite play thing but any toy she has will occupy her for a bit. Tug of war with several littermates or the resident Brit is a fun time. Chou tends to be quiet most of the time, but will bark to alert to company at the door or gate. House manners are very good with Chou ignoring people eating, food prep in the kitchen and clean up after meals. Chou has begun to explore the fields and horse pasture around her foster home with great delight. With silky and longer fur, stick tights only grab and stay in her ear fur a little bit, but she will stand nicely to have them combed out. The feathering on her body and undocked tail has gotten longer and is snow white, waving as she moves about. Chou would be a great family dog with daily playtime provided and lots of affection with snuggle time. Please be sure to fill out the adoption application if you are interested in learning more about Chou-Chou. Chou is an owner surrender and has been spayed and is current on her shots.
