Choco is a small boy from Spain. The U.S. Midwest winter is a bit of a challenge for him, but thanks to foster mom, he is enjoying his warm extra coat. He enjoys exploring snow covered ground and these wonderful smelly snow banks. He is crate-trained and happily sleeps in an open crate at night time. However, he is not fond of being crated when left alone. He is a dog that will benefit from a canine companion. While he is very gentle, lively, he was not used to a gentle hand in his life. He does enjoy cuddling, but needs to have someone who sits on the floor with him. He really likes affection but it’s taken a while to understand that a hand touching him was a good thing. He has also has become bi-lingual and does understand cheering, laughing, and a lot of commands. Choco is excellent on a leash, loves chasing the ball, but loves sniffing out critters and birds even more. Our boy is not a fan of loud noises, he has heard shots and wants to run back home. He really needs a nice fenced yard where he can enjoy the outdoors. Little man needs to be included in an active family’s daily life. He will not do well left crated for hours. No sight unseen or long distance adoptions for this Britt Boy. We feel it is important that all family members (human and canine) meet to assure that we have a good fit. If you would like be considered for Choco’s family, please complete the adoption application Choco is an International dog from Spain. He is neutered and micro chipped, current on all vaccinations, Leishmania negative. He is heart worm Negative and is on Heart Worm Preventative.
