Chip is a really special boy. He has gone through training to be a diabetes alert dog, but unfortunately his Brittany puppy brain is easily distracted by squirrels, birds, cats, and anything else that moves with the wind.He can be quiet and cuddly, totally affectionate, obedient and wonderful. But when anything that moves catches his eye, he turns into a focused crazy man, running from inside to outside, from window to window, and will do his best to get you to go with him on these adventures. He is so funny. He is very smart, is submissive to other dogs, but he will pester them to play with him. His joy is playing tag and wrestling with his canine friends.Chip is a really easy dog to have around, but he requires daily exercise. He also needs a companion dog around to play with. Older children (8+) would be great with Chip. Although Chip is really very mellow for such a young dog, he does have his moments of frenzy where a smaller child could get bumped or knocked down. He needs a good size yard to run in, and people who will pay a lot of attention to him. He can suffer with a little separation anxiety, but we are working on that.If you think that you can offer the type of home that Chip needs, please fill out an adoption application, and mention Chip.
