Adopted!!!
Dog Story:
Hey there my name is Chester and I am a young chap, about 18 months old and have been learning the ropes while here in rescue. You see, I’ve had a rough start, I have found myself shuffled from home to home and I am hoping that my next home will be forever so I am working really hard at being a good boy!
I do prefer to be the center of my human’s attention so a home with no other dogs or cats would be perfect. I am good with older children but might be too much energy for the little ones. I was in a foster home recently and did great with their children but I didn’t like competing with the resident dog for attention so that didn’t work out. So while ABR is looking for my forever home I am being boarded and working with a trainer on all the basics.
I just love to run around the yard chasing all those pesky critters and taking in all the great scents but once I am done I am up for snuggling with my people and especially love those belly rubs yup they are my favorite. We are working on my leash walking and with the help of a gentle leader I am making some progress. I have down sit, stay, come, easy for my treats and have housebreaking 101 almost mastered.
So if you have lots of love to give and time to finish my training then hurry up and fill out theadoption application and note Chester so we can meet soon!
History:
Chester’s owners surrendered him to a New Jersey shelter due to financial hardship and divorce. He is neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, heartworm negative and on preventative.
