Hi there, my name is Cheech but my foster family likes to call me Chi-Chi !!!!!! Oh and there is a Chong as well up for adoption too, but he is in Ajax .

I’m an 8-year-old Brittany with a gentle heart and a whole lot of love to give. I might seem a little shy when we first meet, but don’t let that fool you. Once I feel safe , my true personality comes out and its quirky, playful and very cuddly. I love being with my people and soaking up affection .

I’m a very special guy and I absolutely love other dogs. Having canine friends around makes me the happiest , so I’d really love a home with at least one other dog. I also am better with older children than very young children , that are not really sure how to be around dogs . I do my best when with people who are home most of the time, since being alone can make me a bit anxious and vocal . My foster Mom thinks it because I was in a shelter for 2 months before ABR broke me out !!!! OH and NO CATS !!!!!

The outdoors is my favorite place to be. Running around, playing in snow, exploring on nature walks , and hanging out in a fenced yard are my idea of a perfect day. I have mild arthritis, but it doesn’t slow me down or or stop me from enjoying life.

Inside the house, I’m calm and well behaved. I’m fully potty trained , crate trained and I settle nicely indoors. I have a medium energy level, which means I’m always ready for out door fun , but also very happy to relax beside you with a good book or a TV show to keep you warm.

I’m working hard on my basic obedience and leash manners and I’m improving a lot. I’ll admit, I can get distracted by interesting smells, people or other dogs, so I’ll need my future family to keep helping me practice. With patience and consistency, I know I’ll keep getting better.

All I’m looking for is a patient, loving family who will give me the time to feel secure and let my quirky personality shine through . If you do Ill be your loyal adventure buddy, cuddle partner and best friend forever!!!!!!!

Cheech is scheduled for some Dental surgery . We are taking applications for Cheech now to find him his forever home once all completed .
