Adopted!!!

Charlie is a very sweet Brittany mix that was rescued from the Martinez Shelter. Charlie’s meet and greets were less than satisfactory due to his high anxiety in the shelter. He was very anxious and agitated, and as he was not getting any adoption activity, he was due to be euthanized.

Charlie was a stray that a nice person picked up and took to the shelter to try to find his family. They never came forward, so ABR came to the rescue. Charlie was loved by his family, as he was relatively clean, has short toenails, good teeth, and is a gentle loving soul. But he could very well have been an outdoor dog, as his inside manners need some work. Because he was a stray, I would feel better adopting him to someone with a 6′ fence, because we don’t know how he bacame a stray. He has respected my fence and is happy to lay on the deck in the sunshine, or chase my Britt around the yard.

Charlie’s owners came forward to reclaim Charlie aka Toby. They were shocked that he was in the shelter, but have been reunited.
