Dog Story Charlie is a happy, affectionate and very friendly young Brittany mix. Typical of a youngster he is full of energy, loves to play with other dogs and also enjoys playing ball. He loves people of all ages, is good with children and gets along well with the resident dogs. Cats are an unknown. Charlie is agile and will need a secure yard. He has been known to jump over a 5 ft fence. He enjoys car rides, going on walks and just being with his people. He does know some basic commands but it is recommended that his new family take him to basic obedience classes to help him become the best adult dog he was meant to be. Attending training, using positive reinforcement, will help give Charlie more confidence and will also be a bonding tool for him and his new family. He is not crate trained and is actually fearful of them so his new family needs to be aware of this. He will, however accept being in an x-pen if needed to be confined. Charlie doesn’t do well when left alone for long periods of time. He is looking for a family where there is another dog to play with and for company. He needs a family where someone is home more than they are gone. This may resolve over time when he becomes more secure and realizes he is finally home. This young boy has already had two homes and wants this to be his final home. Charlie is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. Wouldn’t you like to make Charlie’s prayers come true and be his new and final family? If so please fill out the onlineadoption applicationand mention Charlie. Charlie was surrendered to ABR by his owners.
