Dog Story: Charlie the Brittany (Sung to Frosty the Snowman) Charlie the Brittany, was a happy joyful soul, with a cute little tail and a freckled nose, and two eyes made out of gold. Charlie the Brittany, is a playful, loyal dog. He was made of fur and lots of love, and he came to us one day. There must have been some magic in that old little collar we found, for when we placed it on his neck, he began to jump around! Oh, Charlie the Brittany, was affectionate as he can be and the children say he could cuddle and kiss, just the same as you and me. Charlie is approximately 3 to 4 years old and has the typical bouncy and playful temperament of a Brittany. He is very affectionate and would love attention 24/7 if he could find it!! He is most content being by your side or on your lap. He knows the basic commands and walks well on a leash. He would benefit from a strong leader who will work with him on staying calm when he greets new people and other dogs. He enjoys sniffing around the backyard, playing fetch and taking long walks On nice days he loves laying on our deck sunny himself. As long as your fence is completely secured, he can spend longer periods of time in the yard. Charlie would enjoy being in a home with a non alpha dog or as an only dog. He needs a home without young children because of his enthusiastic personality. His strong bark makes him a good watch dog so a detached home with a fence is preferable. Charlie and Abby were strays that were turned in together to a shelter in Virginia. We suspect they might be mother and son, but no specific information was provided at the shelter. If you are looking for two dogs, Abby and Charlie would make a good pair.
