Charlie is an amazing dog. He was on the euthanasia list at a local shelter, and was pulled by a great woman. She has worked with Charlie for the past year on his manners, obedience and recall. Charlie came into the shelter with a broken leg and was treated at the shelter. The leg has mended and Charlie shows no sign of limping or sensitivity. He has a full tail and is a tall, lanky boy.
Charlie does great with training – has good recall, walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and has basic obedience training down: sit, down stay, heel and place. Charlie is very loving, and sweet. He does well with children but is quite playful and may knock a little one over. He likes other dogs, but will chase cats. He does have a strong prey drive, but amazingly will call off when necessary.
Charlie will do well in a home that is active and can keep him exercised and mentally stimulated. He is a very well behaved boy but, as with any Brittany, he can start exhibiting naughty behaviors when left to his own devices.
The harshest critic at his foster’s home says that this is one really good dog.
