Meet Chance! This seasoned senior is very “chill” Brittany. He can’t get enough attention and loves to get cuddles and belly rubs. Chance even loves to still play with his toys. Chance may be a “senior” to many, but his soul is still young at heart.Chance has a very healthy appetite.more like inhales his food, is a sloppy drinker and plays with our other dogs. Chance is crate trained but we just leave the crate door open and he will go in on his own to sleep or to just chill for a few hours. The reason we named him Chance is because his owner just discarded him like he was nothing. You see, he didn’t hunt and therefore was useless in the owners eyes.Chance has been recently neutered and was discovered to have Lyme Disease. Chance is being treated for this as well a urinary tract infection. Chance also had 3 teeth removed. One of the few downsides of Chance is he IS AFRAID OF THUNDERSTORMS and if he is in the crate and locked up, will try and get out. And even for his age, he will still dig or jump the fence to go exploring. If you are interested in having an active senior that will keep you active and on your toes, look no further. Just complete the adoption applicationand mention his name and ID #. Chance is up to date on his vaccines, heartworm negative and on preventative.Chance truly was discarded as stated above because he would not hunt and the owner had no use for him. He was a stray and at the shelter when they called the owner, he said “keep him, I don’t want him”. A shelter worker took him home, cleaned him up (he found a skunk) and took care of him. We saw the post and reached out to the foster and the rest is history.
