Hi there, My name is Buttercup and I am a three year old bundle of love if I do say so myself. I like people, especially kids, who want to pet me constantly and animals, including cats, which like to hang out. I know my voice commands like, lets eat, let’s play and lets go for a ride! Just kidding, sort of, I also know, come, sit, lie down and kennel up. You might have noticed from my glamor shots that I don’t have all my pedals. When I was a pup my right front paw got caught in a trap so now they call me a tri-pod. For a Brittany this brings me down to a manageable level of speed for the walks I like to take. My foster dad has a video of me running if you would like to see me show off my skills. One of my best attributes is my smile. You don’t see dogs smile too often unless it’s in one of those silly pictures where they have human teeth but mine are real canines and I’ll greet my forever family with a big smile everyday. From her foster parents, Buttercup is our first American Brittany Rescue foster and we are trying hard to not become foster fails because she is such a sweetheart. She will do best with a family who has kids and pets, as she loves attention, companionship and wants to please. It took her about a day to get comfortable with our male Brittany and us. Her lack of a paw doesn’t keep her from climbing stairs or jumping into the car and there are prosthetics available that would allow her to walk/run on all four legs.
