Dog Story:
Buttercup is a wonderful Brittany. She is from the island of Santorini, the town of Thira, Greece. Buttercup does not know much english and does not yet know her english name but this just makes her personality stand out even more. This kind and gentle lady wants to be near you all the time. If you are working at your desk she is patiently laying near on the rug or by your feet sleeping. Your slightest move can get her attention to follow you.
She loves to go on walks and seems to have been trained to walk slightly behind you on your right side. This is where she is most comfortable and will react to your every move. But as most Brittanys, when she sees a bird or squirrel her attention level increases. She rarely barks, but will sometimes give a demanding bark when being fed or she sees a stranger, but one quick no and she quiets.
Since Buttercup does not know her name or english commands, she needs to be on leash or in a fenced area. Her hind legs seem a bit weak or she may have some arithitis which may be why she will not jump up on furniture. Walking up stairs is difficult for her but going down stairs is ok. To get into a car she needs to be lifted. and she will patiently wait for you to lift her into the car. She is very good as passenger and lays patiently in the back when riding.
If Buttercup would be a perfect addition to your family please fill out the online adoption applicationand mention Buttercup.
