Dog Story: Hello potential adopters! Check out this BEAUTIFUL Brittany named Buddy! Buddy is a TALL Brittany and solid. Perfect weight at 52 lbs. But don’t let his size or weight scare you away! He is a gentle giant. A teddy bear. And notice he has a heart on his head. Buddy likes to talk! Yes, he will let you know all about the day’s events when you come home. Buddy also likes to dance. With his height, you can ask him if he wants to dance and he will put his paws on your shoulders and dance the night away. Buddy also knows how to give high fives and shake. Knows sit and back. Working on the ‘stay’. Buddy also gets along very well with all the dogs and the resident cat. He seems to want to play with the girls though. At night, if there’s room, he will gladly sleep on your bed, but otherwise, the floor or dog bed/couch is good enough for him. For his own personal entertainment, he will chase butterflies or moths–andeven has gone on point for them. Could he have what it takes to be a good hunting dog? Also likes the water. We don’t crate him while we are gone and the house is in pristine condition upon return. The ideal home for Buddy would be one with at least one other dog, preferably female, an active family and lots and LOTS of love to share with him. If this sounds like a member of your family you have been looking for, then please fill out the adoption application and mention his name and ID#. Buddy is current on his vaccines andheartworm negative and on preventive. Buddy was found on a playground in Eastern Iowa. He was COVERED in fleas to the point of crying because they were biting so bad. The owner could no longer care for him, so he was turned over to the shelter who contacted ABR.
