Dog Story: Buddy is a big boy at 65 pounds. He is a gentleman in the house and obeys very well He loves our 2 brits and gets along very well with dogs that he knows. He shares food with our dogs and has no food aggression. He loves to go for a walk on a 30 foot leash and explore the woods, he walks well with a gentle harness. He also loves swimming and would go in now, even though it is winter, if we let him. He has gotten much better with his bolting and has learned an open door does not mean you can go out. Buddy’s only fault is he does not like all dogs. Small dogs and puppies are not going to be a good fit for him. I am also sure he would not do well with cats or small animals. He will need a 6 foot fence to keep him safe because if he does get loose, he is gone and runs and runs till he is tired, but he does come back! He will need a mentally strong owner who can keep on top of his excitement, and NO children under the age of 12 because of his size. We also feel any potential adopters must meet him to see what a wonderful loving boy he is!!!! Buddy deserves a loving home of his own. He is house broken, does not get on furniture and does not counter surf or get into garbage!!! Buddy was found wandering the streets of Watertown, CT, when he was not claimed and his hold time was up, ABR then brought Buddy into our care.
