Dog Story: Handsome Buddy is a diamond in the rough. He’s all youthful Britt: boundless energy, a headstrong drive to explore, very smart and eager to please. He LOVES attention: loves to be touched, give big hugs, cuddle and is very interactive. On his first trip to the vet it took 3 people to hold him still enough for the vet to hear his heart. Playing ball is a favorite activity. Buddy’s foster dad reports that Buddy is progressing by leaps and bounds in his training and is calming down. He has made very good improvement on the jumping up on people and demanding attention. Not there yet but these issues and others, like walking on a leash, are improving. Buddy is also learning ‘whoa’ and will come when called both in the house and while on lead. He is learning door manners and waits to be invited to pass through some of the time. He still needs more work but the progress is encouraging. Buddy, like any spirited young Britt, is a work in progress. His ideal family will be well-schooled in the breed, patient and willing to work consistently to help Buddy fulfill his tremendous potential. In exchange, they’ll be rewarded with constant companionship, daily (probably hourly) amusement and infinite love. History: Buddy had been running free for a number of weeks before he was picked up and placed in a rural shelter. Prior to that, he had been an outside dog. He neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative. If you would enjoy the challenge and joy of raising this fantastic young lad, please fill out an adoption application and mention Buddy.
