Adopted!!!
Dog Story:
Brittany is an exhuberent, young dog in need of a forever home. She is an owner surrender and needs an active home where she will receive daily exercise. She would love to be someone’s running partner or possibly learn agility. Brittany is very smart and knows ‘sit’, ‘shake’, and ‘down’ but chooses when she wants to perform them ( she will always perform for a treat!). She is very inquisitive, wanting to see what is going on and if she canbe a part of it. Brittany is crate trained and housetrained. Her favorite place to be, is lying on the sofa or anything soft and chewing on one of her toys.
Brittany is an owner surrender due to her high energy level and the owner not being able to exercise her enough. Brittany is sometimes standoffish or skiddish until she gets to know people but once she does, you have a friend for life. Brittany is just beginning to see how fun people can be. Brittany would do best as an only dog but could be transitioned with time and patience into a multi-dog home. She has not evaluated around cats or children. Brittany loves to vocalize how happy she is to see you and wouldn’t do well in an apartment.
Brittany has a full tail, with a mostly white body and liver head. She could be mixed with a bit of pointer or setter but is Brittany at heart. She has a tuft a hair on the top of her head that stands up and gives her funny and unique look. Brittany has been spayed and microchipped. Update 10-27-10
One reason our family loves to foster is we get to see the growth that happens when you get a new dog who is scared and unsocialized and see them blossom into a warm family dog. It’s one of the perks of fostering. Brittany has come a long ways since the day we picked her up, she has learned that people are fun and have lots of love to give. She gets along well with our dogs (5 of them, both male and female) and occasionally gets to sleep with us! With any new home, she should be given time and patience to adjust to any new dog but can go to a home with another dog. She enjoys playing with one of our dogs and is my running partner (she is running 3-8 miles a few times a week). Brittany is very treat motivated, smart, and eager to learn. She also shows some signs of being birdy and enjoys the outdoors. Brittany has a unique look and has a lot to offer, please email us to learn more about Brittany.
