2.15.15 Owner called BRIT 911 number crying, unable to care for his 7 y/o Britt. He gets around using crutches (needs both hips replaced) and the recent storms in eastern PA have been his undoing. Brandy falls in the show and can’t get up. When he tries to pick her up, he falls. Brandy is 70#! Probably 25-30# overweight. She is having a foot issue, will find out more when the vet records come in tomorrow. She is a very quiet girl, only noise is little barks in her sleep. She walks well on a leash, gets along with other dogs and lived with a cat. She came from TN to a rescue in NJ. The owner tried contacting the rescue but they do not return his calls. 2.26.15 Vet says Brandy is healthy, just overweight. Put her on a diet; she should be to her ideal weight (35#) by mid-summer. Recommended losing 5#/month. Foot problem now intermittent. Vet not concerned
