Adopted!!!
Bowie is a wonderful 6-year-old Brittany. He is loving andsweet. He is great with people in general and with kids. He does get very↵excited seeing new people or when you come home after work. He loves to run andexplore.↵↵He lives with a Yorkie and gets along well with him well but he does seem to have issues with other dogs. He has been aggressive and↵fought with other dogs in the past and seems to be more prone when on leash or when confined. We have taken him hunting with other dogs, both familiar↵and unfamiliar and he actually does well in that setting. We do think it would be ideal for him to live alone and avoid other dogs though.↵↵He has had basic obedience training and follows basic commands. He has had informal hunting training and has a great nose, points and holds.↵Doesn’t really retrieve well. He does love hunting but is really just as happy going running through the woods with no birds involved. He does have a tendency toward anxiety especially if you are away from home too long. He is house trained. He is a well-loved dog, which is why we are searching for a new home for him. We have had some life changes that have led to us working more than ever and caring for our child, leaving Bowie without the activity and affection that allows him to thrive.↵↵He crates well and travels well although we don’t typically crate him when we travel. He does fairly frequent 8-hour drives without any problem. He does well with other people and dogsitters.↵↵We are hoping to find him a new home with loving owners that are home or can take him with them a good portion of the day, allow him time and↵space to run and avoid other dogs.
