Yo, Brittany Lovers, Hi Proof Bootlegger Release Me here – or Boots to you. The past few weeks have been a wild ride! You see, I was a kennel dog all my ten years until a nice man came for me and took me to the pokey (and snippy) place. Later we went for a ride to a place with other dogs, an inside, a fenced yard and TREATS! I LOVE treats! I hold really still for foster mom to put my eye meds in because it means I get a treat. I have something called “dry eye” which hurt until the nice man took me to the vetty lady and she put medicine in my eyes. Now I don’t have to rub them on my blankie and for sure don’t have to rub them on the straw I used to sleep on! Yay! Blankie, bed, toys, treats … I love life inside and am so curious about everything! I make foster mom laugh all the time. I love it when she laughs so I kiss her lots. Do you like to laugh and get kisses? I could be YOUR boy! Foster Mom here: Boots is an absolute delight. He is so eager to please, is very smart, energetic as a two year old but crates and settles nicely, is quiet in his crate. He’s great with other dogs, very respectful, probably from his training as a field trial champion. His joints, heart and lungs are excellent. He had a low positive Lyme test and is being treated with 30 days of doxycycline. He’s a real trouper with his eye meds which he will need for the rest of his life (if left untreated dry eye which is a genetic disease leads to blindness). Mid-September Boots is scheduled for a dental and then he’ll be all set to delight some new family. He is heartworm negative, on preventative, neutered, utd on vaccinations and microchipped. He was surrendered by an elderly breeder whose health failed, rendering him unable to care for his Brittanys.
