Iz be Boomer. Humans love me. Iz be loving, attentive, cuddly, smart, and just wonderful, if Iz do say so myself. Iz so happy now. But Iz was very sad.My hoo-mama crossed the Rainbow Bridge in September, but Iz was ok, because Iz had hoo-daddy, and we missed hoo-mama together. Then hoo-daddy had an accident and broke his hip. He went away to the hospital, and Iz was alone. The neighbors were really nice to me, and hoo-daddy’s son came to feed me, but Iz was alone. Iz was very, very sad. Iz cried a lot, and learned how to howl. Some of the neighbors got mad at me, but they all stuck together so that Iz didn’t get sent to jail. Instead, Iz got to come to ABR! Iz been habing lots of fun adventures. Iz got to learn how to jog next to a bicycle! Iz got to go to Hastings Island Hunting Preserve and sniff and run around! But also Iz get to play with my foster brother, and Iz get to go on walks every day! Iz learning about walking closer to foster-hoo-mom, and not pulling so bad, but with lizzards and special smells it is hard sometimes.Iz going to the Dr. on 5/22 to get fixed, (not sure why Iz not broken) and then Iz get to start looking for my new forever home.Foster mom here: Boomer is a really terrific dog to have around. He is usually very quiet, doesn’t really bark and has only resorted to a howl twice since he has been with me. He is very people oriented and very gentle. Boomer is a large boned Brittany. He is 58 pounds currently but a good weight for Boomer would be around 50 pounds because of his bone structure. With measured meals and exercise, Boomer will drop the excess weight and get in better shape. He is an active 8 year old, but his hoo-dad is in his 90s, so I’m not sure how many walks Boomer went on before coming into rescue. He does pull and is very strong, but he is learning. Boomer is very smart and wants to please. He is not hard headed, or stubborn. He has been well loved and cared for his whole life. If you are interested in Boomer, please complete an adoption application and reach out to me. I would love to tell you more about this sweet dog.
