Adopted!!!

Bonnie is a white and orange 6 year old spayed female Brittany. We think the mark on the top of her head, shown in the third picture, looks like a coonskin cap (like Davey Crocket’s) She was surrendered to rescue because her elderly owner became mentally and physically unable to care for her. Bonnie is perfectly housebroken, good with other dogs, and with cats that will not run from her. She is a great house dog, easy going and pleasant to have around. She LOVES to ride in the car 🙂 She is very birdy, has pointed quail when out on leash walks, and her previous owner ran her in the field and took her to the gun range, although we don’t know if she was ever hunted or trained for hunting. Bonnie should weigh about 32 pounds, but came to us weighing 86.6 pounds. As of June 24, she is down to 33.4 pounds, and about at her target weight We expect her to be ready for adoption in late spring. She is microchipped, vaccinated, and tested negative for heartworms and intestinal parasites, as well as had a full blood work panel. Her adoption fee will be $195, with our usually 2 week adoption trial.
